Performance

QUASAR

July 31 17:30 - 18:30 @ The Theatre
Cost SEK 300
This solo performance is a unique, physically acrobatic, and musical experience drawing on Kasper Ravnhøjs last 25 years as a dancer.

QUASAR

This solo performance is a unique , physically acrobatic, and musical experience drawing on Kasper Ravnhøjs last 25 years as a dancer, performer, and prominent figure on the experimental Danish performing arts free scene in a highly personal and intimate exploration of the core themes and inspirations that sparked the fire of the QUASAR concept.

The solo insists on the fire that burns in every movement: not just a dance, but a sacrifice; an insistence on life and the moment confronting emptiness, drawing meaning from the shadow and reminding us that in a universe created to consume, we choose to create, to shine.

Mute Comp. Physical Theatre is an award-winning company situated at the intersection of theatre and contemporary dance.

Their dance performances incorporate live music, poetry, stunts, acrobatic, physical comedy, martial arts, and crash dance, resulting in a unique stage language that transcends defined genres, forging connections between performing arts and new audiences. The company explores the physical space with the body as a sound breaker. In choreographies that examine the physical and empirical limits of the body, their works challenge both the dancers’ abilities and the audience’s perception of dance as an art form. Kasper Ravnhøj i a key participant of Mute Comp.and In 2013 he was nominated for a Reumert in the category DANCER OF THE YEAR for his performance in NAGHOL.
