fool (a far from perfect piece of work)

July 31 22:00 - 22:30 @ The Restaurant
Explorations into the embodiment of the fool inspired in part by Robert Armin, actor in Shakespeare’s company and player of fools, and his book Foole Upon Foole (1600).

The work involves a unique set of custom-made masks, carved by Strasbourg-based mask maker, Etienne Champion (www.etiennechampion-sculpteurdemasques.com/masques).

Training was undertaken with Marc Proulx and Irineu Nogueira. This work originally formed part of Eliot’s practice-based PhD research, culminated in a London performance in 2018 with the title ‘The doors are open but no one’s at home – a parliament of fools’.
