Michael Norlind developed his artistic training from Sören Larsson who, after his years with Jerzy Grotowski in Wroclaw, continued to work with physical theatre under the name Kroppens poesi. He runs Scenstudion Gerlesborg - a meeting place and platform for exploring the expressions and possibilities of theatre. He is the artistic director of Gerlesborg's theatre laboratory, which, through the method 'The Craftsmanship and Poetry of the Performing Arts', focuses on creating the conditions for poetry to emerge. As a lecturer at the School of Drama and Music, University of Gothenburg, he focus on physical gestataltung.
Scenkonst Gerlesborg wants to be a meeting place for performing artists and others who are interested in how one can be in the moment on stage and reach the creative point. Or as Michael Norlind says in his book "The Magic of Reality": "To be and act in contact and in step with what actually exists in order to consciously use what the moment provides and in this way create a new reality."
